About ros basic in 5 days (C++) Score

Hello
I am reaching out regarding a potential scoring discrepancy in my Topics Quiz for the ROS Basics in 5 Days (C++) course. Based on the assessment feedback, I believe I should have received 8 points instead of 3 in lab 5.

Here’s a summary of the feedback provided:

  • ROS Environment Setup: Successful
  • Package Found: Successful (1 point)
  • Package Compiled Successfully: Successful (3 points)
  • Package Launch: Successful, but my score reflects only 3 points.

Since each step was marked as successful up until the launch, I expected the score to be 8, considering all required elements were in place and running as expected.

Could you please review my submission and adjust the score accordingly if possible? I appreciate your assistance in clarifying this issue.

Thank you and best regards

Hà Do

When this happens, it’s likely that the grading did not end gracefully.

Can you share the screenshot showing the feedback from your last grading attempt?

Now I understand your point.

No, we don’t calculate the scores that way. The scores are incremental, such that the score shown on each step is the sum of the scores from previous steps plus the score for the current step (if any).

To proceed, please address the points highlighted by gradebot to see why that step is failing.

hello
Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, I have exceeded 5 attempts, so I do not know how to retry and pass this lab

I see; indeed you can no longer retry the quiz. The real problem here is not exceeding 5 attempts, it is

  • not contacting us until the 5 trials are used AND viewing the solution.

If you had not viewed the solution, we could have assigned you more trials.
