when i am trying to build packages as instructed, it shows fatal error.

The problem you have is with another package → my_package, not the one you just created in this section. You need to check what’s wrong with the my_package package, or remove it if you don’t need it anymore.
Please, always read the error message and try to figure out what it is saying and how you can fix it. This is how to be an engineer. Things hardly work as expected, so be ready to get your hands dirty fixing problems like this one, and you will learn a ton.
