Possible virus in gazebo_sim_course?

Hello, I wanted to download the files used in the Gazebo simulation to run it on my laptop, because it is very very laggy on the web version. The idea was to follow the tutorial and do just the important stuff in the cloud, since with that lag, is imposible even to zoom correctly using gazebo sim.

The problem comes when I tried to download the directory which contains the simulation models, this message appeared on my firewall:

My question is, is this a violation of terms or something like that, and you have this barrier set for this? I just want to run the simulator smoothly, since the plan is limited and I don’t want to waste time

Hi Angelo,
no we do not have any restriction put in the files. I don’t know which files are you downloading but that message definitely doesn’t come from us. It looks like it is something you have in your computer that has affected several of your files, including the zip you downloaded, but with more details about what you downloaded and how you did it, I cannot give you more insights.

Hey ricardo, thanks for answering that fast.
I just copied the package mentioned in the environment variable GZ_SIM_RESOURCE_PATH to the home folder (to not mess the VSCode workspace) and downloaded the directory with VSCode Right click option.

I have tried this with other files or directories in other tutorials, and even tried right now to download the ros2_ws directory, and it downloads it smoothly. Perhaps some files are being recognized as viruses by mistake inside the gazebo carpet (maybe because of some type of format).

Knowing the directory is safe to download and doesn’t violate the terms, I will just allow it, since I did an exam as well in my computer and nothing was affected, just when I tried to download that particular directory.

Thanks again for the reply!
