Real robot does not move

Hi, I have problems with moving the real robot. My session was 6th June 2025, 15.00-15.25 (CET +2, so 13.00 in Spain). I connected to the robot, but there are no nodes, there are only two basic topics and I can’t move the robot. The lidar seems to be spinning, yet I can’t move at all (no wonder if there are no nodes). Can you please help me or tell me what am I doing wrong?

That said, I couldn’t find a report of any problem with the robot as of that time, so I’m not sure what happened there.

Could you please connect and try again? Should the same error happen again, please:

  • Let us know the specific robot
  • Share some screenshots (terminal output, camera stream, and others you find relevant) so we can better understand the problem

So today I had another attempt, and I was successful. This time I saw rosbridge and joystick.

The day I reported the issue:

  • There was only a stream (no joystick)
  • There were two topics, as far as I remember it was rosout
  • I was not able to send and command to the robot (by teleop or my wall following node - Introduction to ROS2).

Today, the robot started to work immediately, so I assume something was wrong on Friday, but don’t have any screenshots.

Is there any command to restart system in such a case in the future? I was getting through the forum but did not find. It might help me and others.

The robot probably went into a coma, though it was online (I know this because you could connect to it).

All you can do is disconnect and connect again to see if the problem is solved. If that does not work, we would need to resuscitate the robot physically.
