Ros2 navigation custom service message

Hi everyone
I’ve created my project package as ament_python type. When create the custom message for the spot recorder service, is more suitable to create an independent package for it or should I create my project package again using ament_cmake?

If you have already created your package as ament_python, just created the custom message in another
ament_cmake package, as thought the ros2 basics (Python) course.
