Use a prebuilt map

Hi,

I see when scan map by lidar sensors. The map is not clear, some place is bended. If I have a large map, it will take a lot of time to scan map.

Could I use a CAD map for AMR?
If I use a CAD map, do I need to change any thing like: fill objects, … to make it right?

Or do you have any idea for a large map?

HI,

You can create a map in any software that generates images in the format that Navigation uses. Gimp for example can do it and is used to edit already generated maps for cleaning and moding.

Having said that, you have to be careful to get the correct aspect ratio and origins, but there is nothing that prevents you to do that ;).
