It looks like you are running the “old” version of this course, which is based on ROS 2 Galactic and Gazebo Classic. We’ve just published an updated version of the course, which is based on ROS 2 Jazzy and Gazebo Sim. I strongly recommend you migrate to the new version.
Anyways, it looks like the problem here is a mismatch in your ROS2 distro, as the plugin is being searched on Humble, but it is actually installed in Galactic. I would suggest you try the following to solve it. In a new terminal:
unset AMENT_PREFIX_PATH
source /opt/ros/galactic/setup.bash
ros2 run rqt_tf_tree rqt_tf_tree
If this doesn’t work, you can also try the following command:
rqt --force-discover -s rqt_tf_tree
In any case, my recommendation is that you migrate to the new version of the course, where you shouldn’t encounter this issue.
