Moving the Jetdog robot

Hello everyone

I’m trying to learn Ros and i came across this tutorial from the Construct:

Unfortunately it isn’t clear to me how he was able to move to robot forward/backward

Another question is that i tried publishing a rostopic to control the camera tilt but i’m getting this warning msg in the terminal:
[WARN] : Inbound TCP/IP connection failed: field data must be float type

So how do i controle the robot movement and why am i getting this error msg for the camera tilt?
